Projects that pass the preliminaries can proceed with nomination, however it shall be noted in advance that there is a nominal fee for nominating entries for Costume Design Awards consideration.

The A' International Costume and Heritage Wear Design Awards celebrate outstanding costume and heritage wear that express cultural identity, historical narratives, artistic interpretation and contemporary creativity through clothing. The competition welcomes theatrical costumes, film and television wardrobe, historical garments, traditional clothing, ceremonial wear, fantasy costumes, cosplay, culturally inspired fashion and performance attire. Entries are evaluated through an anonymous judging process by an international jury of more than 300 design professionals, scholars, industry experts and media members. Costume Design Awards submissions are assessed according to criteria such as cultural relevance, historical or contextual authenticity, visual expression, craftsmanship, material selection, wearability, storytelling, originality, functionality and overall design quality.

Deadline for entries to A' Costume and Heritage Wear Design Awards is on September 30, 2026. Results of the A' Costume and Heritage Wear Design Awards will be announced on May 1, 2027.
