DAYTON, OH, UNITED STATES, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- On Wednesday, September 2, Stand Up for Science will hold an ‘empty chair’ town hall in Ohio’s 10th Congressional District in Dayton.

The in-person event will bring together area science advocates and constituents and offer the opportunity to share their concerns and questions. Dr. Colette Delawalla, CEO and Founder of Stand Up for Science, will host the event.

“This period of Congressional recess used to be prime time for town halls with constituents. But OH-10’s representative Mike Turner hasn’t had a town hall in years. So we’re holding one for him, to give people a platform to share their thoughts with us instead,” said Delawalla.

Stand Up for Science has extended the invitation to Congressman Turner but he has not confirmed his attendance.

The town hall is open to the public. Members of the press are also invited to attend. Interested attendees can register using the link below.
